Oyo NAWOJ Expresses Commitment To Empowering Girl Child

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo state Chapter has expressed its commitment to supporting and empowering the girl child for them to lead change in their communities.
While joining the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl-child, the association urges all stakeholders to join hands together at protecting the Girl-child in the Society.
In a statement by the Chairperson of the Association ,Mrs Omolola Alamu and the Secretary, Mrs Eniola Adeaga, Oyo Nawoj said this year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” highlights the critical role girls play in leading change and navigating challenges in their communities.
Oyo NAWOJ believes that girls are not just the future, but the present and the association recognizes the strength and resilience of girls on the frontlines of crisis.
The International Day of the Girl-Child serves as a reminder of the importance of investing in girls’ education, health, and well-being, particularly in crisis situations.
