ASUU Embarks On Two-Week Strike Action

Academic activities in Nigerian Universities are set for a fourteen –day setback as Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, declares a two-week warning strike,
ASUU president, Chris Piwuna, who declared the strike action on Sunday at a press conference in Abuja, alleged the government of insincerity in the negotiations, leading to the implementation of the union’s demands.
He noted that the 14-day window was for the federal government to reach specific negotiations with the union.
The industrial action is expected to take effect by midnight today, Sunday.
