Dapo Abiodun Swears-In Newly Elected LG Chairmen

Governor of Ogun State prince Dapo Abiodun has urged the newly sworn-in chairmen of Ogun State’s 20 local government areas to embrace inclusivity, fairness, and transformative leadership as they begin their tenure.
Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Cinema Hall, June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, the governor stressed the importance of collaboration and responsible governance.
He called on stakeholders, including counselors, career officers, traditional rulers, public servants, and the general public, to support the local governments by fostering reasonable demands and appreciating the challenges ahead.
With the election process now concluded, the governor reminded the chairmen of their responsibility to serve all residents of their local government areas, regardless of political affiliation.
The governor lauded the Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission for conducting a free, fair, and transparent election. He also recognized party leaders, particularly Chief Yemi Samusi, the state party chairman, and the State Working Committee, for providing a solid platform that secured victory at the polls.
Law enforcement agencies also received commendation for maintaining peace and order during the elections.
Governor Abiodun assured the public that investigations into disruptions during the polls were ongoing and that anyone found culpable would face the full weight of the law.
Expressing confidence in the newly sworn-in chairmen, the governor urged them to fully support the administration’s “Building Our Future Together” agenda, which aims to deliver transformative development across the state.
