Body Of 80 Year Old Woman Dismembered At Her Farmland In Ogun

An Octogenarian, Ayodele Ogundipe, who was declared missing two days ago, has been found dead.
She was found dead at her farmland at Oja-Odan/Ohunbe road, Yewa North local government area, Ogun state, with her body dismembered.
The 80 year old woman went missing on Thursday after she had gone to her farm and it was reported to the Oja Odan Divisional Police after failing to return home.
The police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, in Abeokuta stated that the command was alerted of the incident by her family.
Odutola stressed that a search party comprising of her family and community members was organised on Friday, leading to the discovery of her remains, found in a dismembered state.
She revealed that the commissioner of police, Mr Lanre Ogunlowo, had mandated a thorough investigation into the case in an attempt to piece together all of the events leading up to the death, which seemed to be a ritual killing.
The Commissioner extended his condolences to the bereaved family and assured the public that justice would be pursued diligently.
