Flying Eagles of Nigeria in the early hours of Friday bounced back from their opening match loss to defeat Saudi Arabia in the ongoing FIFA Under 20 World Cup in Chile.
It was a hard fought victory for the Aliyu Zubairu tutored team as they left it late to see off Saudi Arabia 3-2 in their second group game at the Estadio Fiscal de Talca.
The Flying Eagles had lost their opening match to Norway by a lone goal and now sits third in Group F with 3 points behind Colombia and Norway, who both have four points each.
Meanwhile, the Flying Eagles Coach, Aliyu Zubairu has expressed optimism that his side would qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.
Nigeria’s next game is against Colombia on Monday.
The encounter will kick off at 12 midnight.
