United States To Deploy Military Prowess On Nigerian Soil If Govt Fails To End Alleged Christian Genocide

Barely 24 hours after the United States President,Donald Trump designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern, over Christians facing an alleged existential threat in the country, the US has instructed the Department of War to prepare for possible military action on Nigeria soil.
President Trump, who posted this on his Truth Social platform on Saturday, threatened to deploy military forces in Nigeria if the alleged genocide against Christians is not stopped in the country.
He also expressed readiness to halt all aid and assistance to Nigeria if President Bola Tinubu’s administration failed to end the alleged persecution and killing of Christians in the country.
“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities.
“I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians,” he said.
Recall that In a post on Friday, Trump wrote, “Thousands of Christians are being killed. Radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter. I am hereby making Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern.’ But that is the least of it. When Christians—or any such group—are slaughtered as is happening in Nigeria (3,100 versus 4,476 worldwide), something must be done!”
In a reaction on Saturday November 1, 2025 by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Abuja said while Nigeria appreciates global concern for human rights and religious freedom, the claims by the US President do not reflect the situation on the ground, adding that Nigerians of all faiths have long lived, worked, and worshipped together peacefully.
