As mobilisation gathers momentum ahead of the 2026 governorship election in Osun State, supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO, have finalised arrangements for a major political rally tagged “Walk to Live”.
The event is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, and is being organised by the APATA 4 AMBO Support Group in collaboration with APC chairmen and executives in Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas, collectively known as AYIWOLA Federal Constituency.
According to a statement issued by the Media and Communications Office of Chief (Dr) Peter Taiwo Ogundeji (APATA), aspirant for Osun West Senatorial District, participants will converge at L.A. Grammar School, Iwo, at 7: 00 a.m.
The organisers described the Walk to Live initiative as a demonstration of solidarity and grassroots strength in support of the APC’s governorship ambition in the forthcoming 8 August 2026 poll.
“This walk symbolises unity of purpose and collective determination to secure victory for our party,” the statement read. “It underscores the fact that the journey to Abere begins in our wards, our polling units and our communities.”
Dignitaries expected at the rally include the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO); Chief (Dr) Peter Taiwo Ogundeji (APATA); and APC chairmen across the three local government areas, Hon. Adebodun Kazeem (Ayedire), Hon. Olasunkanmi James (Iwo) and Hon. Akinyooye Ismaila (Ola-Oluwa), among other party leaders and stakeholders.
Organisers have urged party faithful across Ayedire, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa, as well as supporters from other parts of the state, to turn out in large numbers.
“We encourage all committed members and supporters of the APC to participate actively. The strength of our mobilisation today will determine the scale of our success tomorrow,” the statement added.
The Walk to Live rally is expected to further energise party structures at the grassroots as preparations intensify for the 2026 governorship election.
