Hon. Oyekola Applauds Governor Makinde For Commitment To Workers Welfare

Lawmaker representing Atiba State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola has applauded Governor Seyi Makinde for the approval of #10, 000 each for all the Civil Servants working with Oyo State and its 33 Local Government Areas.
Hon Oyekola gave the commendation in a Statement made available to Journalists in Ibadan, describing the palliative grant as an assistance to the Workers to cushion the effects of the ongoing fuel hike in the Country.
The Lawmaker who is also the Chief Whip of the House maintained that the gesture was a right step in the right direction, which further affirmed Governor Makinde as a Worker-friendly Leader, whose is compassionate about the welfare of the people.
According to Hon Oyekola, the move by His Excellency is an indication that he is not only aware that the people are going through a tough time at the moment, but also that he is ready to support them and make life easier for them.
The Lawmaker said Oyo State was so lucky to have a Governor like Engineer Seyi Makinde, especially at a time like this.
He described the Governor as someone who the welfare of the people remains paramount to, stressing that Engineer Makinde’s administration has been people oriented from day one.
Hon Oyekola, however, urged the Civil Servants to reciprocate the gesture from the Governor by remaining committed to duties in the interest of the State.
