Gov Adeleke Summons IBEDC Management Over Poor Power Supply

Following electricity blackout which has affected Osogbo and other neighbouring towns, Osun State Governor, senator Ademola Adeleke, has summoned the management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, IBEDC.
A statement issued and signed by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in Osogbo on Thursday described the situation as unbearable for residents of the affected towns, while noting that businesses and commercial activities have been crippled by the worsening blackout.
The Governor said he had received several complaints across the state and stressed the need for urgent action.
Governor Adeleke said that the meeting which will be conveyed with IBEDC management is aimed at finding immediate and lasting solutions to the power challenges in the state
He said he acknowledged that the electricity sector faces national challenges but Osun State must not continue to suffer.
Governor Ademola Adeleke assured residents of the affected towns Including Osogbo that the challenges being currently experienced will soon be subdued.
