Veteran Journalists To Hold Election In Oyo State

The League Of Veteran Journalists (LVJ), Oyo State Council, will on Thursday, 28th of May, 2026, elect it’s new executives .
In a press release signed by the Chairman of the LVJ Electoral Committee, Veteran Shola Akinuli and the Secretary, Veteran Omodele Idris, the election will hold at the LVJ House, NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku Ibadan at 2 p.m and the new executives sworn – in immediately after.
According to the release , interested candidates will vie for the following positions : Chairman , Vice – Chairman , Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, Publicity Secretary, Social Secretary, Internal Auditor and Welfare Officer.
It stated that interested candidates are to collect nomination forms which were already available at the state LVJ House , NUJ Press Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan. According to the release, submission of nomination forms will close on 30th April, 2026 .
It adds that Campaigns will start on 1st May, 2026 and end on 21st May, 2026″.
