Police Arrest Suspected Bandit In Osun State

Amid growing concerns over rumours of bandit activities in Osogbo and other neighbouring communities, the Osun State Police Command has arrested a man suspected to be involved in criminal activities in the state capital.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ibrahim Gotan, confirmed the arrest on Wednesday through the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Ojelabi, while fielding questions from newsmen.
According to the police, the suspect was spotted moving around an undisclosed location in Osogbo while dressed in military camouflage. His suspicious conduct reportedly drew the attention of members of the public, who alerted security operatives.
The police commissioner said the man was immediately taken into custody and is currently being interrogated and investigated.
He noted that preliminary inquiries are ongoing to determine his true identity, as well as the purpose of his presence in the area.
Mr. Gotan assured residents that the command remains vigilant and committed to protecting lives and property across the state. He urged members of the public to continue providing useful information to security agencies as efforts to maintain peace and security in Osun continue.
