General Meme FC Wins Oba Ladoja Championship Cup

General Meme Football Club of Oke-Ibadan, have emerged winners of the 2026 Oba Ladoja Championship Cup football competition organised to commemorate the first coronation anniversary of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja.
The Grand Finale of the Competition with 22 Participating Teams, was played at the Olubadan Stadium, Iyaganku Area, Ibadan, Oyo State.
The Winners of the Cup, General Meme FC defeated Glorious Success FC by two goals to nil to clinch the Championship trophy.
In the third-place match, Cross Vile FC defeated Mido FC to secure the bronze position.
At the presentation ceremony, Wife of Olubadan, Olori Rashidat Ladoja who presented the Championship Trophy and Cash gifts to the victorious General Meme FC and other top four Teams, commended the Players, their Coaches and Organisers for the success of the Competition.
Olori Ladoja single handedly added the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira to the Cash gifts given to the Overall Winners of the Competition, while the 2nd , 3rd and 4th Positions went home with substantial amount of money.
The tournament also provided an opportunity for football enthusiasts and young players to showcase their talents at the 2026 Oba Ladoja Championship Cup.
The competition organized by Abiodun Eleni, Prince Monsur Bello, Mr Laide Durodola, Alhaji Mutiu Idowu and Kakaki was sponsored by Mogaji Kamaldeen Giwa of Aliiwo Dynasty.
