PDP National Convention Will Usher In Leadership Nigerians Need- Shina Peller

A former member of the House of Representatives and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Honourabe Shina Peller, has expressed confidence that the forthcoming National Convention of the party scheduled to hold November this year in Ibadan, Oyo state will usher in a new set of leadership that Nigerians have been yearning for.
Hon. Peller made the submission on Tuesday while congratulating the entire PDP family on the emergence of its member, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle, as the winner of the just concluded Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.
The former lawmaker decribed the victory as a significant milestones for the entire PDP family, adding the election result is a resounding affirmation of the people’s trust in PDP’s government in Oyo state led by the governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde. “Engr. Seyi Makinde’s leadership has inspired confidence among the electorate in Oyo state,” he said.
He continued, “Indeed, the outcome of the Ibadan North bye-election sends a clear message that PDP remains a formidable force in Oyo state, and will be the source of a new system people have been yearning for by November 2025 when PDP will be having its national convention in Ibadan, Oyo state.”
Moreover, Peller stressed that Makinde’s OMITUNTUN agenda is a new system that is giving opportunities to more young people to thrive, adding that aside the fact that the newly elected lawmaker is is just 42 years, young ones represent about 70 percent of the entire people serving in Makinde’s administration.
Furthermore, he stated Makinde is setting a precedent for a fresh wave of leadership that reflects the aspirations of the new generation. Peller remarked, “You can’t create change by fighting the present system; you create change by establishing a new functional system that will make the present one obsolete.”
Hon. Peller concluded by asking Nigerians to look forward to a new PDP leadership whose focus will resonate well with the populace.
