Sunshine Queens FC Sacks Head Coach

After a run of poor performances, Head Coach of Sunshine Queens Football Club of Akure, in Ondo State, Kayode Olujohungbe has been sacked.
The management of club announced that Olujohungbe was relieved of his duties following a series of unsatisfactory results in the ongoing Nigeria women football league NWFL 2025/26 season.
Coach Tayo Onilude has been appointed in the interim to take charge of the team and will lead the side for the remaining five matches of the season.
According to the club, the decision was reached after a thorough assessment of the team’s recent performances, with management believing a change in leadership is necessary to improve results.
Sunshine Queens FC also expressed appreciation to Olujohungbe for his dedication and contributions to the club, wishing him success in his future endeavours.
