Jimoh Adisa Olabisi ‘JAO’ Emerges Oorelope State Constituency Consensus Candidate For Oyo Assembly

Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oorelope Local Government Area of Oyo State have adopted Hon. Jimoh Adisa Olabisi, popularly known as “JAO,” as their consensus candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly.
The decision followed a series of meetings and deliberations among party stakeholders across the local government, aimed at presenting a united front ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The move gained significant momentum as leaders from seven out of the ten wards in Oorelope declared their support for Olabisi, citing his experience, grassroots connection, and capacity to effectively represent the constituency.
The PDP stakeholders in Ward 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 unanimously endorsed Hon Jimoh Adisa Olabisi insisting that required guidelines, processes and regulations were followed extensively to select a consensus candidate for Oorelope state Constituency.
Speaking on the development, the executive chairman, Oorelope local government, Hon Jacob Ogundiran said the stakeholders followed due process and have presented Hon Jimoh Adisa Olabisi who by all standard met all the requirements to represent the Constituency.
While reacting to allegations that some leaders staged a walkout during the stakeholders meeting, the council’s party chairman, Alhaji Oyelowo Safarariyu and leader of the party the council, Alhaji Yakub Oladoja said seven out of the 10 wards in the council threw their weights behind Jimoh Adisa Olabisi which signifies that majority have spoken the mind of the party.
They say Hon Jimoh Adisa Olabisi is the only recognized flag bearer for Oyo Assembly in Oorelope.
The party leaders noted that adopting a consensus candidate would help foster unity, minimize internal disputes, and strengthen the party’s chances at the polls.
They described Olabisi as a loyal party member with a proven track record of service and dedication to the growth of the PDP in the area.
“JAO has consistently demonstrated commitment to the party and the people. His emergence as a consensus candidate reflects the collective will of the majority of our leaders and stakeholders,” a party chieftain said.
In his response, Olabisi expressed gratitude to the party leaders and supporters for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to justify the trust if elected.
He assured that his campaign would focus on grassroots development, youth empowerment, and improved representation for the people of Oorelope.
