Senator Yayi Will Be Next Governor Of Ogun State – Dapo Abiodun

Senator Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi will become the next Governor of Ogun State.
The incumbent Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun made the declaration during a meeting with APC leaders and stakeholders in Ogun East Senatorial District at his country home in Iperu-Remo, Ikenne Local Government Area, where party members formally presented him with a letter of nomination as consensus candidate for the Senate in 2027.
Abiodun said the All Progressives Congress, APC, is prepared to produce Senator Adeola as the next Governor of the state, while also mobilising overwhelming support for President Bola Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027, expressing confidence that Ogun State will deliver the highest number of votes for the President.
In his acceptance speech, the governor assured supporters of quality representation, saying he would not be a passive legislator but one committed to delivering meaningful results for the people of Ogun East and the state at large.
He appreciated party leaders and stakeholders for the trust reposed in him, promising not to let them down.
Reflecting on his administration, Governor Abiodun noted that Ogun State has recorded significant transformation in the past seven years, particularly in infrastructure development, healthcare delivery, education, and road reconstruction.
Presenting the endorsement letter, APC leaders including Chief Adeleke Adedoyin, Chief Kola Ogunjobi, Chief Segun Osibote, and Senator Lekan Mustapha commended the governor’s leadership style, describing his performance as outstanding and people-oriented.
They urged intensified mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections and called for unity within the party, expressing confidence that the endorsement reflects the collective will of the people of Ogun East.
