Video: Early Morning Inferno Destroys Property Worth Millions Of Naira In Ibadan Popular Market

An early morning fire incident has left traders at the popular Bode market in Ibadan, Oyo State, in anguish.
The inferno, which started around 0200 Hours Nigerian time on Friday, completely razed a one-story shopping complex containing twelve shops, alongside several nearby wooden structures.
The affected traders are lamenting that property worth hundreds of millions of Naira has been lost to the fire incident.
They said they have completely lost their livelihoods and appealed to the Oyo State Government for urgent financial assistance.
As of the time of publication, firefighters are still at the scene trying to put out the blaze, while devastated traders are doing all they can to salvage what was left of their goods.
Meanwhile, personnel from the Federal Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the Amotekun Corps are on ground to maintain law and order.
