Oyo APC Reconciliation Moves Yielding Results As Committee Resolves Grievances From House of Assembly Primaries

The Oyo State House of Assembly Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, says substantial progress has been made in resolving grievances arising from the recently concluded House of Assembly primary election.
The committee disclosed this in a communiqué issued after its engagements with aspirants who participated in the primary, as well as other stakeholders and party members who expressed interest in the electoral process.
According to the communiqué, signed by the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Muftau Adisa, its Co-Chairman, Aare Bisoye Fagade, and Secretary, Barrister Rotimi Okeowo, the reconciliation exercise was conducted in the spirit of unity, mutual understanding and the collective interest of the party, with the aim of strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.
The committee said the majority of the aspirants, including those who purchased nomination forms and those who did not, had demonstrated sportsmanship, maturity and commitment to the unity of the party.
It noted that the reconciled aspirants had expressed their willingness to work harmoniously with one another and the party leadership towards securing electoral victory for the APC in Oyo State.
The aspirants, according to the committee, also pledged their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the election of APC candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and Oyo State House of Assembly.
The committee commended the aspirants for putting the overall interest of the party above personal ambitions and for their willingness to work collectively towards strengthening the APC across the state.
It said the aspirants, who had consented to work for the success of the party, cut across the 32 State House of Assembly constituencies in Oyo State.
The reconciliation committee further called on all APC members, leaders, stakeholders and supporters in the state to embrace reconciliation, avoid divisive tendencies and work collectively towards building a stronger and more united party.
It expressed confidence that the renewed spirit of unity and cooperation among the aspirants would contribute significantly to the electoral fortunes of the APC in the 2027 general election.
The Committee is co-chaired by Alhaji Mufutau Adisa and Aare Abisoye Fagade Barr Rotimi Okeowo is the Secretary.
Other members of the Committee are; Hon. Obatunde Oladapo, Hon. Kehinde Oloya, Hon. Ramota Okemakinde, Hon. Segun Ajanaku, Hon. Rasaki Raji and Mrs. Mabel Williams.
