Written by on September 3, 2025

The Nigeria Police Force has appointed a Chief Superintendent of Police, and Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Lagos State Command, Benjamin Hundeyin as its new Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO.

This followed the redeployment of Deputy Commissioner of Police, Muyiwa Adejobi to the Delta State Police Command.

CSP Hundeyin has been serving as the Lagos State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer since March, 2022.

The newly appointed Force PRO holds a Bachelor Degree in English Language from Lagos State University, Lagos State and a Master Degree in Legal Criminology and Security Psychology from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

CSP Hundeyin is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, International Public Relations Association, IPRA, and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, CIPMN, and has undergone specialized training in Civil-Military Coordination and served in the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur, Sudan.

The Nigeria Police Force described the DCP Adejobi’s redeployment as part of routine administrative adjustments aimed at career progression and manpower optimization, stressing that it is neither punitive nor controversial.

The transition is expected to take effect soon after an official handover ceremony at the Force Headquarters in Abuja, where CSP Hundeyin will assume his new role as the national spokesperson of the Nigeria Police.
