Oyo Acting Governor Expresses Satisfaction With Progress Of Ibadan Airport Upgrade, Circular Road

The Acting Governor of Oyo State, Chief Bayo Lawal has expressed satisfaction with the quality, specification and pace of work on the Samuel Ladoke Akintola (SLA) international airport and the Senator Rasheed Ladoja circular road projects.
The Acting Governor who made this known after an inspection tour of some ongoing legacy projects in the state, reiterated the state government commitment to provide necessary infrastruture for the economic growth of the state.
Chief Lawal also observed that the runway for the SLA international airport has almost reached completion with necessary marking and fixtures, noting that with installation of lightening and other technical instruments to accommodate jumbo size aircraft, the international airport should be ready for public use within the next one month.
He acknowledged that works have reached an advanced stage for the 32 km Senator Rashidi Ladoja circular road project, adding that before December 2025 the contractors would deliver on project for the benefit of the people.
The commissioner for Public Works and Transport,Mojeed Mogbojubola, top government officials and other political appointees joined the Acting Governor on the inspection tour.
