Queen Rashidat Steps Out With Husband, Oba Ladoja As He Receives The Sun Lifetime Achievement Award

This saying goes with a Queen of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja who always stands in support of her darling and cherished husband, a Former Governor, a respected and revered Monarch, and Chairman, Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, The Arusa 1.
Oba Ladoja was on Saturday, 31st January, 2026 conferred with another prestigious Award of The Sun Lifetime Achievement by the Sun Publishing Limited, the Publisher of The Sun Newspaper.
The ceremony was well attended by Captains of Industry, Political Leaders including Senators, House of Representatives Members, Former and Serving Governors, Traditional Rulers, Friends and Family of the Award Recipient held at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
While celebrating and rejoicing with her darling husband, Queen Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja described Oba Ladoja as her King, her Crown and father of all who has rededicated his life to the service of humanity, particularly, Ibadan People, Oyo State and Nigeria in general, with diligence, compassion, humility and selflessness.
According to Queen Rashidat, Kabiyesi ascended the throne of his forebearers in September last year, since then, his humanitarian services have multiplied towards making Ibadan more prominent in terms of socio-economic, development, industrial hub and investment friendly for job creation for the teeming youth of Ibadan.
She expressed happiness over the selection and conferment of Oba Rashidi Ladoja as the Winner of the Award in recognition of his contributions to the Society in various sectors.
Queen Rashidat maintained that, the recognition further made her proud of her husband, highlighting his disciplined lifestyle and dedication to work, adding that his commitment reflected with the way he served as a Governor of Oyo State and still showing in his style of leadership as a Traditional Ruler.
Queen Rashidat who is a qualified Lawyer prayed for her husband to live long in good health and sound mind as he continues to work towards developing Ibadan and making ithe the people proud.
Queen Rashidat, however, appreciated all the dignitaries who honoured her husband at the Ceremony for their support.
