Family Of Former Head Of Service, Theophilus Akinyele Provides Street Sweeping Trucks To Support Sanitation In Oyo State

Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources has commended the family of a Former Head of Service, Late Chief Theophilus Akinyele for supporting the government towards ensuring environmental cleanliness in Ibadan.
The family of the former Head of Service recently provided Street Sweeping trucks to complement the State government’s efforts at ensuring a clean Oyo State with a promise of operating the trucks themselves.
Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Engineer Ademola Aderinto gave the commendation when he flagged off the use of Street Sweeping Trucks along Theophilus Akinyele Way, Akala Express, Ibadan, Oyo State Capital.
Engineer Aderinto maintained that effective sanitation and cleanliness of the environment should not be left alone for government, hence the need for concerned residents to support the present administration in its bid to make the State Clean.

He, however, warned the public against indiscriminate dumping of refuse in the drainages, median and roadsides, saying government has put all measures in place to arrest and prosecute any violator of Environmental laws in the State.
Responding on behalf of the Late Akinyele family, One of his Children, Mr Akinkunmi Akinyele said, the family was happy with the recognition that the Governor Seyi Makinde-led Administration gave to their late Patriarch, particularly naming the 12.5 KM road after him.
Mr Akinyele promised that the family would ensure that the Road is always kept clean through the use of the trucks provided by the family for the purpose of sanitising the environment.
