2027: Wife Of Former Ondo Governor, Betty Akeredolu Eyes Imo East Senatorial Seat||Picks LP Form

Mrs Betty Akeredolu, the Widow of the late former Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, on Thursday formally purchased her nomination and expression of interest forms to contest the Imo East Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.

Her nomination forms were picked up by supporters at the party’s national headquarters in Abuja.

If elected, Akeredolu will represent Imo East Senatorial District in the Senate, replacing the incumbent lawmaker, Ezenwa Onyewuchi.

The development comes barely two months after the former Ondo First Lady officially joined the Labour Party, signalling a deepening involvement in partisan politics ahead of the next election cycle.
