The Media Office of Senator Sharafadeen Alli has strongly refuted a social media report alleging a connection between the Distiguished Senator and the recent abduction of Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin sons.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the media office described the publication as “malicious, reckless, defamatory and politically motivated,” insisting that the allegations are entirely false and lack any credible basis.
According to the statement, Senator Alli, who represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has no connection whatsoever with the criminal incident, the individuals involved, or any activities related to kidnapping, violence, or other criminal acts.
The media office noted that the Senator is a respected public servant whose decades of service, leadership and commitment to peace and development have earned him widespread respect across Oyo State and beyond.
It added that he has consistently supported efforts aimed at strengthening security and protecting lives and property across Oyo State and Nigeria.
The media office urged members of the public to disregard the publication and avoid spreading false information capable of jeopardising ongoing security investigations or creating unnecessary political tension.
It also called on security agencies to investigate the source of the report and ensure that those responsible for disseminating false information and engaging in political blackmail are held accountable.
The statement concluded by affirming that Senator Alli remains focused on his legislative duties, his commitment to the people of Oyo State, and his vision of promoting a safer, more prosperous and united society.
