The announcement was made by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who spoke on behalf of the Federal Government and extended congratulations to Nigerians both within and outside the country on the occasion.

According to the minister, Democracy Day remains an important national event dedicated to honoring individuals who played significant roles in the country’s democratic journey and the sacrifices made in the struggle for democratic governance.
