President Tinubu Rewards Fayose With New Appointment

President Bola Tinubu has appointed former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose as Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency.
The president also approved the appointment of over 20 persons into the boards and leadership of 10 Federal Government agencies and commissions.
The appointments, announced Monday in a statement by Presidential Advisory on Information and Strategy Bayo Onanuga, take immediate effect.
Among the prominent appointees is former Ekiti State Gov. Ayo Fayose, named Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA).
He is to serve alongside non-executive directors Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engr. Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta, joining agency Director-General Abba Abubakar Aliyu and three previously appointed executive directors.
President Tinubu also named retired Maj. Gen. Junaid Bindawa as Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, with former House member Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas appointed Secretary.
Commission members include Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian (Benue), Oladele Olatubosun (Oyo), Yakubu Umar Barde (Kaduna), Dr. Mai Adamu Yau (Borno), Ginika Florence Tor (Enugu), Engr. Lawrence Okoh (Edo), and Bello Morenike Iyabode (Kogi).
Tosin Johnson Adeyanju, former Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), was redeployed as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation and Fiscal Commission. In other appointments, Dr. Abuh Mohammed was named Director-General of the National Population Commission, while Dr. Akinola Odeyemi became Managing Director of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET).
President Tinubu also appointed Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission. At the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM) in Ilorin, former local government chairman Engr. Julius Oloro was named Chief Executive Officer, succeeding the late Dr. A.R. Kamal. Additionally, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was named Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who was reassigned to the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) in April.
The President also inaugurated the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, appointing Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman. Board members include Mohammed Asmau, Mohammed Aliyu Makama, Dr. Suleiman Gidado, Louis O. Ndukwe, Amaechi Ugwele, and Olaniyi Idowu Onikola.
