Local Vigilantes Recover 6 Million Naira Ransom From Suspected Kidnappers

Suspected kidnappers who allegedly abducted a woman, Shadia Usman from Aboke village in Atiba local government area of Oyo state have finally lost out in their bid to collect ransom.
According to a close relative of the victim, Ibrahim Umar, the victim was abducted last Thursday around 1 am and had been in captive since then until her release yesterday.
Umar said some members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN in the area were contacted when the incident occurred and stayed alert throughout the period of negotiation with the suspects.
Umar who expressed joy at the release of his abducted father’s wife also gave brief explanation of how the six million naira ransom was recovered from the kidnappers.
Commander, Vigilante Group of Nigeria, VGN Oyo state command, comrade Sunday Olajide who confirmed the incident said his men are still on the trail of the fleeing suspects after dropping the money, adding that the money has been returned to its owner as confirmed by Ibrahim Umar.
