Oyo Govt To Partner Chinese Investors To Boost Agriculture

Oyo state government says investment in agriculture development and value chain is key to the present administration in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde, represented by the Deputy Governor, Chief Bayo Lawal, said this while receiving Chinese investors from China Overseas Engineering Group Co. Limited at the Governor’s Office, Secretariat, Ibadan.
The governor who said oyo state was viable when it comes to agriculture called on the Chinese investors to partner the state government to ensure food security and boost agricultural productivity .
The governor maintained that the state government would provide an enabling environment for investors to thrive.
In a remark, the Director General, Oyo State Agribusiness Development Agency, Dr Debo Akande, lauded the visitors for their gestures saying their vision aligns with that of the state government.
Reacting, Chinese team lead, Ms Dong Gwping, stressed that the aim of the team was to stimulate socio-economic growth and development in the state.
