2027: Peter Obi Holds Strategic Meeting With Gov Makinde In Ibadan

The 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi on Tuesday visited Ibadan, Oyo State, less four days after he attended a summit of members of the Opposition Parties in the ancient city.
The Former Anambra Governor, who is now a member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), told journalists that he was in town to hold a strategic meeting with the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.
Obi reiterated his vision for a united, secure and production-driven Nigeria.
He said the meeting was on the coalition, the 2027 elections and the overall wellbeing of Nigeria.
Mr Obi while emphasising that the meeting dwelt on how better Nigeria could be built,encouraged Nigerians that with the coalition of opposition political parties, people should be expecting a better Nigeria, a more united, secure and progressive Nigeria.
It would be recalled that notable opposition political party leaders on Saturday held a summit in Ibadan where they agreed to field one presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
Among the political leaders at the summit were former vice president, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku; former Kano state governor , Mr Rabiu Kwankwaso; Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Mr Jerry Gana and Alhaji Babangida Aliyu.
Others include Mr Kabiru Turaki, Mr Rafiu Aregbesola; Sen.David Mark; Mr Pat Utomi and Mr Peter Obi.
