WAFCON 2024: Super Falcons Thrash Tunisia To Begin Campaign In Style

Super Falcons of Nigeria on Sunday evening thrashed Tunisia 3-0 to begin their 2024 Women African Cup of Nations, WAFCON, campaign in emphatic style.
Six time African women footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala put Nigeria ahead just 4 minutes into the game before goals from Rinsola Babajide in the 45th minute and Chinwendu Ihezuo in the 84th minute rounded up a comfortable start to the tournament.
In other matches played on Sunday, Senegal also defeated DR Congo by 3 goals to nil while Algeria edged out Botswana by a lone goal.
The tournament continues on Monday with South Africa taking on Ghana, while Mali battles Tanzania.
