FIFA Opens Applications For Volunteers Ahead Of 2026 World Cup

FIFA has launched the application process for the FIFA 2026 World Cup volunteer programme.
The programme which targets communities of volunteers is expected to bring the tournament to life , unite the three countries and billions of football lovers across the globe.
In a statement made available to newsmen,FIFA notes that 65,000 volunteers will be called on to support the delivery of the biggest FIFA World Cup scheduled for June next year.
FIFA also expressed delight that the expanded 48- team format and activity across 16 Host cities,will strengthen the bonds among the host countries.
The international football body encourages interested volunteers to log on to fifaworldcup.com/volunteers to apply, while stating that successful applicants will be invited to attend Volunteer Team Tryout, scheduled for October 2025, with training to follow in March 2026.
The statement adds that the six weeks football tournament will kick off in June 2026 in Mexico.
