Barely two day that residents of oyo state who were affected by circular road house demolition have been protesting , Oyo State governor engineer Seyi Makinde , has said he is not ready to address those protesting against the alleged plans by the state government to acquire more lands for Ibadan circular road corridor.
Makinde, who spoke at the commissioning of the Ibadan central bus terminal, said he won’t address the protesters, on the claim that their protest is politically motivated
He asked those affected by the project to meet him at the circular road for dialogue and robust discussions maintaining the protesters are not real owners.
Governor Makinde said the project has been ongoing for many decades, there was need to extend the land for economic purpose and not personal reasons
It would be recalled that owners of land on the corridors of Ibadan circular road have been protesting over the 500 metres to be taken on each side of the Ibadan circular road.
