Gov Aiyedatiwa Presents 2026 Fiscal Year Budget To State House Of Assembly

Ondo state governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has reiterated his commitment to massive investment in industrial development, quality healthcare, sound education, and improved infrastructure across the state.
The governor made disclosed this while presenting the 2026 fiscal year budget of ₦492.79 billion to the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The appropriation bill, tagged “Budget of Economic Consolidation,” is designed to deepen ongoing reforms, expand infrastructure, and strengthen key sectors for sustainable growth in Ondo state
Governor Aiyedatiwa said that the earlier approved 2025 budget had been reviewed downward from ₦698.6 billion to ₦489.8 billion due to the failure of some donor-funder revenue projections necessitating the government to reprioritize and cut dependence on external inflows.
He asked the House of Assembly to give the budget prompt and thorough consideration.
Commending the governor for his various laudable achievements, the speaker Ondo State House of Assembly noted that timely presentation of the budget would sustain peace and stability in the state.
The speaker assured that the lawmakers would work collectively to ensure proper scrutiny and passage of the budget.
