Iyabo Obasanjo Accepts Emergence Of Senator Adeola Yayi As Ogun APC Guber Candidate

The Governorship aspirant under the umbrella of All Progressives Congress in Ogun State and daughter of the Nigeria former President Iyabo Obasanjo has suspended her bid for the 2027 election.
Iyabo Obasanjo suspended her governorship ambition in the coming election after Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate.
Mrs Iyabo Obasanjo, made the announcement in a statement on Monday in Abeokuta. She said the decision was sequel to Yayi’s adoption at a caucus meeting of the party.
The former Nigeria President daughter congratulated Yayi and later wished him success in the coming election.
She appreciated her supporters and loyalists across Ogun State for their resilience and calmness, urging them to support the governorship aspirant for APC , Yayi, in Ogun State.
Senator Adeola Solomon (Yayi) presently represents Ogun West in the Senate.
