Police Arrest 32-Year Old Man For Assault On Female Personnel

Nigeria Police Force,Osun State Command has arrested a 32-year-old man, Adekola Amobi, who allegedly assaulted some female police operatives in a viral video in the Ido-Osun area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Gotan disclosed this to Newsmen at the State command headquarters in Osogbo.
Mr. Gotan said Amobi who allegedly attacked the female operatives with a stick and shovel was arrested in Edo State, while trying to flee after the incident.
The CP condemned the act , describing it as barbaric, affirming police’s zero-tolerance to any form of assault on its personnel in the course of duty .
The State CP added that, The suspect who is currently in its custody , would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
The viral video surfaced online showing a man visibly upset, hitting female police officers with a stick believed to be the type of sticks used by the police.
Mixed reactions have, however,trailed the video.While some described the man as wicked, others were of the opinion that the officers conduct may have triggered the action.
