Magistrate Court Remands 3 For Murder Of Ogun Popular Broadcaster

A Chief Magistrate’s Court,sitting in Isabo, Abeokuta has ordered that three suspects be remanded in Prison custody pending their arraignment in a court of competent jurisdiction.
The suspects are Sodeinde Olajunwon Phillip, Sakirudeen Abdulraheem Ayoola, and Sobu Obafunsho.
The suspects are standing trial on murder case of a retired OGTV broadcaster, Kitan Oyesiku and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo, who were murdered at former’s residence in Agodo village, Kobape area of Abeokuta on June 20.
Trial Chief Magistrate O.T. Odubanjo granted the order following an ex parte application filed by the Ogun State Police Command seeking the suspects’ remand at the Nigerian Correctional Service pending their arraignment before a court of competent jurisdiction.
The Police Legal Officer, A.S. Abiodun, told the court that the application which was brought under Section 306 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of Ogun State, 2017, was supported by a 24-paragraph affidavit deposed to by ASP Saka of the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Eleweran, alongside 17 exhibits and a written address.
The case has been adjourned till September 10, 2026.
