Police Arrest Notorious Kidnapper in Oyo State

The Oyo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has said it has arrested a suspected notorious kidnapper and also recovered a firearm at Ikoyi Ile, Orire local government area of Oyo state
The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Olayinka Ayanlade in statement on Sunday said the suspect was apprehended following a coordinated, intelligence-led security.
DSP Ayanlade who noted that the achievement followed credible information from a vigilant member of the public who reported the movement of three armed men seen around forests and farmlands in the community maintain that suspects were reportedly armed with an AK-47 rifle and other harmful weapons.
The Oyo State police spokesman said the suspect reportedly confessed to have been. involved in a series of kidnapping activities along the Ogbomoso and Ikoyi-Ile axis.
Ayanlade disclosed that the suspect has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation and arrest his accomplices.
