NULGE Members Resume In Some LGAs In Osun State

Factional Members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE in Osun State on Monday resumed into their various Council Areas.
This followed the directive given by the Factional leaders of the Union asking the local government workers in the State to resume work after several months.
Some of the workers were seen at Osogbo and Olorunda Local Government Council Areas while officers of the Nigeria Police were on ground to maintain law and order.
However, at Ifelodun, Oriade, Ilesa East, Ilesa West, Odo-Otin, Ife -Central, Ife -East, Ife – North Local Government Areas of Osun State, there was an indication that work has not commenced.
A Local Government Worker in Odo Otin Local Government, who pleaded anonymity maintained that they are yet to resume as they are awaiting directives from the Osun state NULGE President, Dr. Kehinde Ogungbangbe.
It will be recalled that, the State Branch of NULGE had directed its members to stay off the Councils since March, 2025 to avoid chaos which might occur between the Chairmen and Councillors elected under the two separate platforms of All Progressives Congress, APC and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
