Hon. Oyekola Lights Up Constituency With Solar-Powered Floodlights

The Lawmaker representing Atiba State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola, has lightened up some communities within the Constituency through installation of solar-powered floodlights with a view to ensuring adequate security and improving living conditions of his Constituents.
Some of the Areas that benefited from the gestures include Ajanbata, Onilu, Oniyere, Ipekun, Lawende, Ekeje, Ebu, Orita Ladire, and Lagbemu junction.

Representatives of the Communities who spoke at the Event, commended Hon. Oyekola for finding lasting solution to the challenges of poor lighting, which they said had affected safety and social activities in the areas for years.
” We need to appreciate our Lawmaker for the provision of solar-powered lighting which will not only improve visibility at nights, but boost socio-economic activities within the communities and also help to prevent criminal activities”
Hon. Oyekola, who is also the Chief Whip of the House, reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development, emphasising that the initiative forms part of his ongoing efforts to deliver people-oriented projects that will directly have impacts on the lives of the people.
He added that the installation will continue until election time, noting that many other communities would still be coming to demand their own.
It would be recalled that, Hon Oyekola of Atiba State Constituency had earlier executed solar-powered projects in addition to other people-friendly projects across the Constituency, including Ayeegbami Community in Oke-Olola, Koso Community, Oke-Oroki Community, and Ahoyaya Community, in furtherance of his unwaivering commitment to infrastructural development.
