New NSCDC Commandant Assumes Office In Osun, Pledges To Strengthen Intelligence Gathering

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Osun State Command, has gotten new Commandant, Mr Toma Enya,who has also assumed duty with a pledge to strengthen intelligence gathering and information sharing across the State.
Mr Enya who made the commitment on Monday during his courtesy visit to the State Secretariat, Abere maintained that the visit was part of activities marking his assumption of office.
The new Commandant was accompanied by the outgoing Commandant, Mr Sotiyo, and received at the Government Secretariat by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi.
While speaking, Mr. Enya said his administration would prioritise effective collaboration and timely exchange of information as part of measures to enhance security and prevent threats across Osun State.
He assured the government and residents of the State of the NSCDC command’s commitment to protecting lives and property while securing critical national assets and infrastructure.
Responding, Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi welcomed Mr Enya to Ọsun State assuring him of the State government’s support in carrying out his duties
The new Osun State NSCDC commandant is an indigene of Ajaokuta Local Government Area of Kogi State.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
