Fire Completely Razes Widow’s Only House In Ekiti

Residents of Onala Community, Tinuola Area, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State, have appealed to the State Government to come to the aid of a Widow and her Children whose house only house was recently razed by fire, thereby rendering them homeless.

The residents who spoke through the Spokesman of the Community who is also a former Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, Mr Ayo Ajiboye said, the building which completely burnt down was built by the Widow’s husband who died in August this year.

According to the tenants and some community members, the fire started at about one o’clock in the midnight from the roof of the kitchen of one of the tenants.

They said, qll efforts by the community and firefighters to put out the fire was not successful, leading to loss of all valuables into the unfortunate incident.

The victim could not grant any interview as she was emotionally down as at the time of filing this report.
